Long wait but so worth it. Delicious steak with great teriyaki sauce , rice, and greens salad make a great takeout dinner . Steak a bit seasoned spicy but so tender . Lines long but well worth waiting for. Be careful for they close at 745 or when run out. They have chicken plates too but were out when we got there. On Friday nights there are fireworks to eat by
One of our favorite places to go when in Honolulu! Dinner on the beach. Service was quick. The chicken & dinner plates we ordered were delicious!
100% would recommend the steak shack. Not only is the food super tasty but the view is so much better. I can't really complain about the service considering they definitely do their best for the people that are in there which seems like a pretty cramped space. I usually just get the basic steak and rice platter. You can't really go wrong with that combination.
Right behind the Waikiki Shore by Outrigger. Very budget friendly. And delicious! Grabbed a plate and sat on the beach.
Visited an hour before closing and the line was very long. It was about 25 mins if you're standing at the bottom of the stairs. My friend and I shared a larger steak plate. I thought it was nice when the cashier asked me how I like my steak (medium rare). We waited another 15 mins for our food. Our steak wasn't medium rare but it was tender. Flavor was good for a beach meal (I actually liked this plate more than monkey pods hh menu). Unfortunately our rice was still al dente and we had to toss half of it out. Appreciated them packing our salad in a separate box. *wish the owners use compostable take out containers and utensils. Given how busy they are, they are really adding to the landfill ;(
Steak Shack is a small beach stand at the back of the Outrigger Waikiki Reef hotel. They offer plates that come with organic greens and rice and a protein option (steak and/or chicken). When I had visited they were out of chicken. There is usually a line about 10 to 15 people deep, and once you order it takes another 15 to 25 minutes for your order to be prepared. Steak plate (14 oz) - $23 - I asked for my steak to be prepared medium rare and when my order was finally ready it had a nice peppery flavor to it. They provide some soy sauce on the side to elevate the flavors. I also told them to skip the rice, so they were happy to substitute the rice with more greens. For my greens I went with an Italian dressing, although they also have thousand island. Overall I was impressed with the quality of food here. Pricing for the other steak plates are as follows: 6oz ($13), 10 oz ($18), 12 oz ($20), 14 oz ($23). 6 oz of a chicken plate is $12 and they also offer a steak and chicken combo for $17.
